CULTURAL

Stirling Street Arts Centre

Bunbury, 2020

The design of the Stirling Street Arts Centre sought to compliment the existing buildings on site rather than imitate, while still presenting itself as an iconic form within the highly visible public space. A custom fabricated perforated metal screen sits atop a modest base building of red brick, black steel and glass.

Two symmetrical pavilions flank a central spectator stand in this durable yet attractive project. Externally, raked timber eaves float above glazed blue bricks, materials which are also reflected internally.
